Achievement Wall

If your children are anything like mine they'll be bringing home certificates for all sorts of things on a regular basis. For a long time I wasn't sure what to do with them so I would stand them on the fireplace for a week or so and then put them in a folder for safekeeping.

We always put our Christmas and birthday cards on a piece of string that hangs on the wall and one day I had a brainwave (yes sometimes my brain works well), I decided to hang their certificates up on the line!

I've covered the certificates for privacy reasons
Since then we have a new line for Christmas and birthday cards because this one has become our official 'Achievement Wall'. I can fit roughly around 10 certificates on it (5 for T and 5 for N but this will obviously have to change when E starts bringing them home too) and I simply replace one of the older certificates when they bring a new one home.

It is situated at the end of our dining table so we can all see them and whenever a new certificate is hung, that child usually spends the meal time proudly explaining what they had to do to receive it. In fact, we often end up having dinner-time conversations about the certificates and everything the children have achieved or the things they would like to achieve in future.

What do you do with your child's certificates?
