V Family Top 5 Days Out in the UK

All families have their favourite things and the V Family are no different, so over the coming weeks I'm going to share some of our top 5 lists with you.

To get the following results everyone (except E of course) sat down and wrote our favourites on a piece of paper, then we allocated points according to position in the top 5 and added them up to find our winners.
This week I'm sharing our favourite places for days out in the UK...
  1. Thorpe Park
  2. Longleat Safari and Adventure Park
  3. Chessington World of Adventures
  4. Moors Valley Country Park and Forest
  5. Marwell Zoo
We love Thorpe Park, it has something for everyone and the rides are big and scary! Our favourite rides are water rides which end with us being drenched and the Tidal Wave certainly does that - I don't think there was a dry part on us!

Hubby and T also really enjoyed Saw - The Ride, it is a roller coaster based on the horror film and for N and I just looking at the area outside was scary enough so we stayed at a safe distance.

Where are your favourite places for a day out?

  1. We used to love Moors Family when the boys were younger. I used to buy a seasonal ticket so that we could park for free. Haven't been for a few years ...

One of our favourite places used to be Monkey World. DS2 and I adopted a couple of monkeys. Funnily enough Kate, he asked a couple of days ago if we could all go and we're planning a day at the end of May (have to leave the dog at home though).

I do miss family days out. It felt strange at first (just Pete and I) but now it's the norm. And a LOT cheaper hahaha.

    Great top 5 Kate.

    1. I can imagine it's strange without the children, they bring so much energy to days out! I love Monkey World too, haven't been for years though, I hope you have a great time. Moors Valley is an ideal place for us because it's somewhere for the kids and the dog too.
