Chicago Town Deep Dish Pizza, Taste Legends Review

The V Family all love pizzas and Chicago Town is a well known name in our household so when we were asked to try some of their new range and share our opinions we jumped at the chance.

Our first review is for The Deep Dish. You may have already tried the traditional Deep Dish pizzas (Four Cheese, Ham & Pineapple and Pepperoni) but now there are four fantastic new flavours joining them.

Meet the NEW Taste Legends! We tried the New Yorker and Chicken Club, read on to find out what we thought...

The New Yorker is an epic combination of delicious Pepperoni Slices, Ham, Red Onions and melted Mozzarella Cheese with a Signature BBQ Sauce.

Hubby was the first to try this pizza and as you can see it had plenty of toppings. This is an important factor for us when buying pizzas, there's nothing worse than opening up a frozen pizza to see a couple of slices of Pepperoni and just a handful of grated cheese.

They can be cooked in the oven or microwave, we chose the microwave because it's quicker - just three minutes and you have a pizza that smells amazing and tastes good too!

Hubby loved the flavour combination of the New Yorker, he said there was the perfect amount of cheese and he really liked the sauce. He did say that he wished there was more onion but that could just be down to personal preference because from what I could see there was quite a lot of it.

The Chicken & Bacon Club Deep Dish pizza is the perfect melt-in-the-mouth combo of succulent Chicken Breast, Bacon, Ham and Mozzarella Cheese with a Signature Tomato Sauce.

Once again I was impressed by the amount of topping on the pizza, there was definitely no need to add any extra toppings to these bad boys!

The smell coming from the microwave was delicious and had me standing there watching it cook, wishing it would be finished quicker (three minutes can take forever when you're hungry). Even T was roused from his pit bedroom wondering what the nice smell was.

Thankfully the taste was as good as the smell, the flavours in the pizza compliment each other beautifully and for me there was just the right amount of each ingredient.

I'm not usually a thick crust kind of person, I always go for thin and crispy because I find the thick ones too doughy. However, these pizzas were not like that at all and the only reason I can think of is because they are so well filled - the sauce in particular seems to make the base nice and moist.

The Pulled Pork is a succulent blend of tender pulled pork and Fried Onion, on a bed of melted Mozzarella and BBQ Sauce, with a taste of the Deep South in every bite.

This was the one hubby really wanted to try but we haven't yet seen them in any of our local supermarkets, we'll be keeping an eye out though!

The Sloppy Joe is an all-American classic that will be sure to make those taste buds tingle with delicious Spicy Beef, Red Onions and Green Peppers.
