Beaulieu

Beaulieu was another of the activities on the kids Summer Holidays Activities List and we hadn't been there for a few years so we decided it was about time we visited again.

Beaulieu

We started off looking at cars that have been on screen, my personal favourite was the 'Only Fools and Horses' three-wheeler.

Then we went to the Top Gear exhibition which was amazing for us Top Gear fanatics! We got to see vehicles actually used on the show...

Even E seemed to enjoy looking at the banged-up cars.

It was so exciting to be able to get up close to the magnificent modified vehicles!

We went on the monorail and this gave us the opportunity to see everything that Beaulieu has to offer. It also helped us decide where we wanted to go next...

T spotted this race track while we were on the monorail so we had to go straight there.

Beaulieu

N wasn't tall enough so it was just T who got the chance to ride. It cost £5 to have a go but he enjoyed every minute. The go karts had boost buttons and the ability to shoot or block the other drivers, every boys dream!

He ended up coming first in his race and he was buzzing about it for the rest of the day.

While he was driving, the rest of us sat on the grass to watch. Apart from E who found a feather and was gleefully chasing it around!

After lunch we went to look around the museum at cars old and new.

N tried her hand at racing an old car.

It was so interesting to see all the racing memorabilia up close.

We were all excited to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Hubby and I were thrilled to get so close to Elvis Presley's Cadillac Seville V8!

The open top bus drives round Beaulieu, we didn't go for a ride on this occasion though.

Beaulieu

There were a few people dressed up, giving us the feeling that we'd stepped back in time. This man was of particular interest.

Learning more about tyres...

Beaulieu

We imagined filling our car with fuel from one of these...

Beaulieu

The Royal Caravan was tiny! We couldn't imagine anyone actually using it.

The Wheels ride was very popular with T and N.

It was a busy day but fun and educational too.

Have you been to Beaulieu? I'd love to hear from you.

    1. It's a great place for kids who like cars, T is a bit car mad but even the girls are quite interested so they all loved it!

      Thanks for commenting x

  2. LOVE the photos. E chasing the feather brought out an awwwww.

The boys used to love it there but the last time we went was for a firework display when Sam was in Y11 (6 years ago). There doesn't seem to be many changes Kate.

Such a fab day out and it looks like you and your crew had a fab day. x

    1. These kind of places never seem to change much do they. That feather stayed with us for most of the day, she was quite attached to it :)

Thank you for stopping by and commenting x
