Golfing Fun

Golf is something that hubby has always enjoyed and in recent years T and N have also discovered a love for the game. This is why I knew it'd be on their Summer Holidays Activities List, although they would have gone anyway even if it wasn't on the list!

So they left mummy and E at home, packed their golf clubs in the car and went off for a game at a local course. The kids had never played at this course before, it was longer than the one they usually play on so they were looking forward to a challenge.

Hubby says they are both rapidly improving their golfing skills and will soon be beating him at it. This particular course is set in beautiful countryside surroundings and they were all excited to see a deer just wandering along the edge of the trees!

They came home exhausted but happy and spent ages telling me how good they were getting and about their achievements on each hole.

Are you a golfer? Do your children enjoy playing golf? I'd love to hear from you.

    1. Haha yes it's quite nice when they all go off to have fun while you're left to a couple of hours of quiet (depending if little one is awake or asleep). It's a great game for kids though, mine really do enjoy it!

  2. The deer was an added extra Kate.

Pete used to play golf and Sam had his own clubs too. It did last for a few years but probably stopped when Sam was around 14. He had other things to do then ...

I hope your children continue to enjoy it. x

    1. Yes I hope it's a lasting hobby, gets them out in the fresh air for a while! Apparently deer are quite common at that golf course but it was a novelty for my lot :)
