The final activity we managed to fit into the summer holidays was fruit picking. The kids had been keen to do this for quite a while so they were rather excited.
We found a lovely 'pick your own' farm and headed out in the sunshine to pick our fruit.
N was thrilled when she realised she'd get to keep the punnet at the end of her fruit picking adventure!
We started with the raspberries.
We had to look really hard because there weren't too many good quality raspberries left. We all enjoyed the search though and there were cheers whenever someone found a 'juicy' one!
We ended up with quite a few raspberries in N's punnet, she was very happy with her haul.
Next we went to find some strawberries. E enjoyed this activity just as much as the older two so I would recommend it for all ages.
T was in charge of the strawberry punnet and he was very particular about the quality of strawberries going in it!
We soon filled it up and, thanks to T's fussiness, had some lovely-looking strawberries to take home with us.
This activity was a real success, more so than I had expected. We're hoping to return at some point to pick some vegetables.
Do you enjoy picking your own fruit and veg? I'd love to hear from you.
