Reducing The Cost Of Your Home Insurance

Everyone loves to save money but once you have children it becomes even more important - every penny counts! 

Home insurance can be a bit confusing and I often wonder if we've really got the best deal possible. I want to protect our family with a good insurance but I also don't want to pay the earth for it. Sound familiar?

I must admit that the last two facts surprised me the most, I had no idea you could lower your premiums by becoming a member of a neighbourhood watch scheme or that previous homeowners claims could affect your premium!

  1. We had firemen fit two fire alarms for free (with a 10 year guarantee). Maybe it was a LA initiative and not across the country.

    I think it's easy to just renew each year without looking around for a better deal Kate.

    1. Yes we had some fire alarms fitted by the fire brigade, I think it's a nationwide initiative but I'm not sure many people are aware of it.

      It's so easy not to shop around isn't it but so worthwhile if you do!
