Mummy V's Birthday 2015
You know you're a blogger when you spend part of your birthday taking photos of all your gifts!
I had the most amazing birthday this year - I received so many gorgeous gifts, spent time with my family and even some time alone with hubby (for the first time since T came along)!
I want to share it here so I have a permanent record of events to look back on:
It all started with an overnight stay, just for hubby and I, at the stunning Oakley Hall in Hampshire (I didn't want to be too far away from the kids so this was the perfect solution).
Hubby had booked a four-poster suite so we were surrounded by pure luxury!
We had an amazing view even though the weather was not so good.
I loved all the little touches that made our stay feel special.
We ordered champagne from room service.
Our evening meal (also from room service) was absolutely delicious!
And the desserts were divine!
Later we received a weather forecast and some complimentary chocolates.
The following morning we had more gorgeous food - a mouth-watering breakfast in their Glasshouse Restaurant, yummy!
It was a wonderful experience, relaxing, luxurious and special. I'd love to go again and would highly recommend it.
On the day of my birthday the treats continued as I went for afternoon tea with my parents at our local Haskins.
I had never been for afternoon tea before so this was another fab (and yummy) experience for me. The cakes were soooo tasty, I couldn't eat all of mine though so I took some home in a box and enjoyed them later.
I had visits from other family members and more celebrations when the kids came home from school. I couldn't believe how many gifts I received - I was a very lucky lady!
I received chocolates and pyjamas.
A lovely box of spa treatments.
Lots of socks.
Some really pretty stationery.
Gorgeous perfume, including my favourite perfume ever - Chanel No 5!
Loads of bath products.
This beautiful wax melt burner to add to my collection.
Some bath bombs from Lush. These made the whole room smell fantastic, I can't wait to use them!
A fab keyring that lets everyone know I'm the boss, a sparkly pen and a huge Tatty Teddy mug and socks set.
I also received a couple of Amazon vouchers (a particular thank you to Shaz) which is perfect for me because I love shopping online for books!
And here's the pile of books I ordered with them (minus one eBook):
Wow, what a list!
I really did have a wonderful birthday. Thank you to everyone who made it so special x
