Christmas Cards

Once again I'm talking about Christmas but this time it's about Christmas cards!

I admit that I struggled to get motivated enough to start writing my Christmas cards this year. This meant that I left it later than usual but once I started, I actually really enjoyed it.

I know some people who think Christmas cards are pointless but, for me, they are a way of connecting with friends and family who you might not see much of throughout the year. I love it when I receive a card from someone I haven't heard from in a while, it's quite touching to know they are still thinking of me and my family.

The other reason I love Christmas cards is because they're just so sparkly and pretty (even the ones with sprouts on them)!

Here are some of the cards we've received so far this year:

Christmas Cards

Look how bright and colourful they all are!

Every year I tell myself that I'll save my favourites and put them in a big frame to make a wonderful Christmas picture that could come out every year but I never get round to it - maybe 2015 will be the year I actually do it?

What are your thoughts on Christmas cards? I'd love to hear from you.

    1. Ah yes, what a sparkly job! They look great all on display don't they - an important part of the Christmas decorations in our house :)

Thank you for stopping by x

  2. Some Christmas cards have sad messages inside (from people who knew my parents in the past). One of my TA team at work gave us (inclusion) a card with lovely sentiments inside. It is fab that others think of writing cards. We write ones to family and friends but to be honest, I'd rather not send them as they're going to be recycled so why buy in the first place ... although I love your idea of a collage Kate.

    1. It does seem a waste just to throw them away. I know some people who cut them up and make new cards out of them for next year but I'm really keen to make some kind of card collage with mine!

      Thanks for sharing Shaz x
