The second picture book from well-loved Finnish author/illustrator Riikka Jäntti to feature Little Mouse ― the small kid with the big personality ― Little Mouse Helps Out is sure to become another read-aloud favourite."

First of all let me tell you that I have probably read this book to E at least a hundred times since we received it so I am more than qualified to share my opinion!

E absolutely adores this book and I have to admit that I kind of love it too, the main reason for this is because it's just so easy to relate to. There are loads of familiar moments for both children AND parents which makes it easier to connect to and associate with real-life. We regularly have conversations involving Little Mouse taking turns or helping his mummy.

The characters and storyline are able to attract and hold a 3-year-old's attention which, as all parents will know, is not an easy thing to do.

Little Mouse Helps Out

E loves pointing out the things that she does in her own life - building forts, using a stool to reach things and brushing her teeth. She is also able to recognise when Little Mouse isn't behaving well and even tells me what he should do or say to be 'nice Little Mouse'.

I love how interactive the storyline is, E has heard this story so many times now that she says some of the words with me, then there's the face-pulling page which we can't get through without her copying Little Mouse's actions. It's so cute!

Little Mouse Helps Out

I genuinely feel that E has learnt a few important qualities from this book, it gives us loads to talk about and the best part is that she loves reading it, over and over again...
